Huge hits in Texas as the Philadelphia Phillies outscore the Rangers
You read it right, the Philadelphia Phillies
outscored the Texas Rangers in a night where pitchers probably wanted to
leave the Lonestar state.
In a final score of 14-10 to the Phillies, yes that's two lots of double figures, relief pitcher Tanner Scheppers started for the injury riddled Ranger bullpen.
Jimmy Rollins managed to hit a grand slam including his 200th career run, despite Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee also letting the flood gates open.
The Phillies racked up 17 hits overall and the run tally is their most in 114 years.
The Rangers has earlier hit a three run homer but were completely outgunned in the end.
This the second biggest runs tally in the Phillies Franchise history and Rollins is only the second player to hit a grand slam for the franchise in the last 100 years.
Same again tomorrow? The Rangers will certainly hope not after tonight's series starter.
