Ex-Golden Eaglets' stars Abubakar Aliyu, Akinjide Idowu, Abdullahi Alfa and Dele Alampasu have confirmed they have arrived the Flying Eagles' camp in Abuja preparatory to the 2015 African Youth Championship qualifiers expected to start next month.

Several of the former Eaglets' players invited by head coach, Manu Garba have all arrived in adherence to the invitation of their ex-boss and Goal has been informed that some of the uninvited FIFA U17 World Cup heroes will still show up before the qualifying campaign starts.

The Flying Eagles are drawn bye in the first round and won't be playing on the weekend of April 4-6 and 25-27, 2014 but will contest against the winner of Kenya-Tanzania in the second round in May.

Abubakar Aliyu, is one of the stalwarts of the last U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates revealed to Goal that it was normal for them to heed the call of their mentor and coach hence their decision to arrive the camp on time.

He said he and his colleagues won't be carried away by their 2013 exploits in the UAE as they seek a fresh start and motivation to grab one of the tickets to Senegal 2015.

"We are already in the Flying Eagles' camp. I came in with Alfa and Akinjide Idowu among other colleagues in the UAE last year. We are ready to write the country's name in gold again and we won't be carried away by our impressive run in the UAE World Cup as we seek a place to the next AYC," Aliyu told Goal
